Students Tackle Escape Room thanks to Jack Petchey Winner

A small group of our Y9 students enjoyed a trip to Croydon Escape Rooms this term thanks to one of our Jack Petchey winners! Roman of 9JC was our worthy January winner after showing consistent and excellent effort in a number of subjects including French and English – putting extra effort in when he found things challenging. He chose to take 11 of his classmates to the Escape Rooms, and much fun was had by all! The students worked in teams of 6 to try and navigate their way through the tricky challenges, emerging after hours of puzzle solving, tactics and teamwork.

A huge thanks to Peter and the team at Exciting Escapes, and of course well done to the students for their efforts! The team at Exciting Escapes praised the students for being a pleasure to host and a ‘credit to the school’. For those unaware, the Jack Petchey award is a monthly prize given to one student in the school for excellent effort or overcoming personal/school challenges to try and reach their full potential.
