The wait for GCSE results is over as students across the country returned to school one final time to collect their grades, and the current coronavirus pandemic hasn’t dampened spirits for final year students at Oasis Academy Arena, South Norwood, Croydon as they look forward to taking their next steps today after securing some great results.

A number of students have achieved superb individual results.

Divine has secured three 9s, an 8, a 7, and a distinction.  She will be going on to Langley Park School for Girls to study A-Levels. Samuel has one 9, three 8s, and three 7s and plans to attend College IV at Riddlesdown Collegiate for chemistry, biology, and maths.

Speaking of her results Divine said, “I am so happy with my results! Staying sleep deprived was worth it.”

Thomas Raymond, Principal at Oasis Academy Arena, commented on students’ success saying; “We are thrilled for our students who have worked so hard for these results, I am so proud of them for what they have achieved. At Oasis Academy Arena we are passionate about giving our students the opportunities that they need to make great progress and flourish.

“Today is also an important testimony and a credit too to our fantastic teachers who are so dedicated to our students, enabling them to do their very best.”
