Students at Oasis Academy Arena are celebrating their impressive GCSE results as they prepare for the next steps in their academic journey. After a long wait, the final year students returned to school to collect their grades, and the atmosphere was filled with excitement and pride.

This year, the school has seen a notable improvement in GCSE performance. There has been a 6 percentage point increase in the number of students achieving grade 4 or above in English and Maths and an impressive 8 percentage point rise for grade 5 or above in these key subjects.

Several students have achieved exceptional results, showcasing their hard work and dedication.

Dilara stood out with three 9s and four 8s. She is heading to Wallington County Grammar School’s Sixth Form to study Maths, Chemistry, and Biology. Dilara expressed her joy, saying, “I’m thrilled with my results! It’s a great feeling to see my hard work pay off. I’m looking forward to diving into Maths, Chemistry, and Biology at Sixth Form and pursuing my future goals.”

Jasper also excelled, achieving two 9s, two 8s, four 7s, and a 6. He will continue his studies at Wallington County Grammar School’s Sixth Form, aiming to focus on Chemistry, Maths, and Biology with hopes of a career in medicine.

Viktorija’s impressive results include grades of 9, 8, 8, 8, 7, 7, 7, and 5. She will be joining Coombe Wood Sixth Form to study Biology, Chemistry, and Maths.

Godsgift earned two 9s, four 8s, two 7s, and a 6. He plans to attend Wallington County Grammar School’s Sixth Form to study Physics, Chemistry, and Maths.

Another standout student, Kyran, shared his excitement: “I’m absolutely over the moon with my results! I had never passed any subjects before, so to achieve a distinction in one and a grade 7 in English Literature is amazing. I’m thrilled to have done so much better than I ever expected.”

Principal at Oasis Academy Arena, Ms Bell, praised the students' achievements, saying, “We are thrilled for our young people who have worked so hard for these results. At Oasis Academy Arena, we are passionate about providing our students with the opportunities they need to make great progress and flourish. This year, more of our students than ever are leaving us with the qualifications they need to move on to fulfilling careers.”

Ms Bell, also acknowledged the efforts of the staff, adding, “Today is also a testament to our fantastic teachers who are so dedicated to our students, enabling them to achieve their very best.”
