Academy Day

During term time, our academy is open:

Monday: 8.15 am – 4 pm
Tuesday: 8.15 am – 4 pm
Wednesday: 8.15 am – 4 pm
Thursday: 8.15 am – 4 pm
Friday: 8.15 am – 4 pm

‘Arena Meet and Greet’ 
Each weekday morning from 8.15am onwards our students are greeted by our senior staff and pastoral mentors and welcome them into our academy.  

We have six lessons throughout the day, each 45 minutes in length. Lessons are broken up by break and lunch where students can take advantage of our outdoor facilities including basketball, football and table tennis. Students can also purchase a variety of healthy and nutritious food from our canteen. After break, lunch, and at the end of the day, everyone lines up in alphabetical order in their tutor groups; they are then collected by their teacher and escorted to their lesson to ensure a calm, ordered start of a lesson or end of the day. The school day ends at 3pm.

After school, we run enrichment clubs in a variety of subjects from 3pm until 4pm. Interventions take place to support student learning both at the start of the academy day and at 3pm.

Extracurricular activities

Students can sign up to various extracurricular activities both during KS3 and KS4 lunch breaks and after school, from 3 pm to 4 pm.
