Student Voice

At Oasis Academy Arena, we listen to our students.  Whilst we remember that they are still children, and that sometimes they may not always know what is best for them (!), we absolutely and unequivocally encourage, seek, listen to and consider their views, opinions and ideas.  From informal conversations when eating lunch together, to formal elections, our students are central to our decision-making, including via the following:

• Student Leadership Elections, complete with canvassing, hustings and voting via secret ballot
• Elections and Nominations of Student Prefects
• Student Panels as a key part of the interview process for new staff
• Student Feedback on Lesson Observations as part of the selection process for new staff
