Principal's Welcome
I am very proud to have the opportunity to lead Oasis Academy Arena and extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to our website and, more importantly, to our school.
We are a mixed, fully inclusive, non-selective secondary school in the south London Borough of Croydon, open to students of any faith or none, and we are unswervingly dedicated to serving our children, our families, and our local community.
We believe that every parent is entitled to expect the school that they have chosen for their child to provide a first-rate education, and we shoulder this responsibility profoundly, with pride and determination. In choosing to send your child to Oasis Academy Arena you will be choosing to send them to a school with a bright and exciting future, a school that understands that every student is unique and a school that will not just prepare your child for their next steps but provide learning and memories that will stay with them for life.
Our values at Oasis Academy Arena are that we are kind, ambitious, and professional, all key attributes of successful young people and adults. We understand the importance of getting it right during these vital years of development and helping our students to develop holistically is at the forefront of our curriculum. It is our goal to have students leave our Academy feeling intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically ready for life after secondary education.
The Academy is housed in a brand new state of the art building, and we utilise the Arena sports centre to enrich our sports curriculum. However, a school is not just a building – it is a community of dedicated educators, motivated students, and supportive parents working collaboratively to create an environment where excellence thrives. Oasis Academy Arena therefore provides a welcoming, challenging, secure and nurturing learning environment where every child can grow with their interests and reach their potential and where all members of our community are respected, cared for, and feel that they belong.
We know that education doesn’t stop when a student leaves the classroom and value parental involvement, genuinely putting relationships at the heart of everything we do. Meetings with parents and carers are welcomed and community input into the shape of the Academy is encouraged through involvement with the Academy Council and community Hub.
Visits to the academy are also warmly welcome, please contact the school office by calling 0208 240 6700 should you wish to come and see the academy in action.
Kind regards,
